Using the language of a picnic table, Reserved speaks about the food that you are being served. From far, the piece looks like an ordinary table with food and plates. But a closer look reveals layers of information about genetically modified foods and crops. In the first layer of information, the person reads the plates pie graph made out of beans (seeds) which depict the country and their percentage of genetically modified crops grown. Then they move on to the bean pot where it states that 90% of the worlds genetically modified seeds are grown and owned by two former chemical companies, who not only produce the seeds, but patent them so no one else can grow them without a contract, even if the plant grows on your lawn by natural means.

Next to the pot are the soda bottles which state information about annual deaths/injuries and profit gains by the pesticides Dupont and Monsanto produce. The last level of information is the legend in the reserved sign which give meaning to the fork, knife, spoon, and napkin. For example, the spoon represents if they in the process of banning the modified crops.
